Though the hype will want you to believe that Facebook Messages will kill your inbox provider, it clearly won’t. DumbCrunch published no less than twelve stories about the subject in just three days to drain your poor brain but good thing their readers were smart enough to get tired of the subject.
Don’t get fool, Face Messages is no more than a badly implemented Google Wave and certainly won’t kill you Gmail or Yahoo! Mail account.
Hype wannabe bloggers are reporting that Facebook will launch its email service this monday.
And already I’m reading : “What will be the hip email address to have, gmail.com or fb.com?” on comments at Mashable. Yeh, I know… whatever.
Leaving aside kikoolol users, at least this means that Facebook will stop polluting you “real” email address with notifications and you’d have a chance to redirect all Facebook mail to trash. How about that ? Thanks Zuckerberg.
Oh and as DumbCrunch came late on the story, let’s remind everyone that AOL will unveil a new version of its webmail on Monday as well.
