Yahoo Japan teams up with ‘Mobage Town’ in online game service
Yahoo Japan Corp. has launched a service offering games from the popular mobile phone site “Mobage-Town” for personal computers. The Internet giant launched the service in cooperation with mobile site operator DeNA Co., which operates Mobage-Town.
Mobage-Town members can exchange information and play games with other members registered with the site. As of the end of July the site had some 20.5 million members.
About 100 popular Mobage games that have been adapted for computer use are now available on Yahoo’s newly opened site Yahoo! Mobage. To promote the combined use of both mobile phones and computers, members can carry over data from their mobile phones to their computers.
